It might not look like it from the outside because I’m so super busy, but I am having fun. I have plenty of time for things that feed my soul even if it means reduced sleep and multiple assistants - because you can’t be creative and love admin.

I have a wild imagination and I’m constantly dreaming up new ideas. How I know I’m in a successful space is when I wake up feeling pumped to work on the many things on my mind. To achieve your goals, invest in a few strong friendships and have those be your critics and calibrators, if you don’t have people who people you can trust, you will end up seeking validation from outside, and that’s when criticism from ill meaning people will get to you.

Unless you're in the financial sector, no one wakes up hoping for a banking filled day. Banking is part of the admin that I don’t enjoy, so I want to spend as little time as possible doing it. It has certainly slowed it down, but this is a good thing. It has made purchases a lot more conscious than ever before. In terms of maintaining presence, this wasn't so difficult because I try to dress to my mood on a daily basis even if I won't be leaving the house because, at some point or another, I will either be on a video call, a Zoom meeting or posting on Instagram.

The pandemic has definitely changed the business landscape. While some businesses will naturally grapple with the acute disruption brought on by COVID-19, the ones that were agile and could afford to pivot (for a lack of a better word), they’ve reaped great rewards from the innovative digital transformations we saw last year and will continue to see for most of this year.

I guess at one point or another I have been two or all of these: simple traditionalist, connected loyalist and relaxed cool. That’s why I break fashion rules and wear my shirts open too far down, which I imagine the fashion elite grossly deride. But it gives me a nice sense of nonchalance and that's my relationship with fashion: style with ease.
