LEAD PRODUCT MANAGER

As Lead Product Manager at Superbalist, you will own the product strategy and delivery

across our core retail and commerce systems, including buying, ordering, catalogue, stock

management, pricing, payment integrations, and fulfilment. You will work closely with

engineering, operations, and commercial teams to build the systems that power how we buy,

price, sell, and deliver. This is a senior, high-impact role for someone who can balance

strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced e-commerce environment.

Responsibilities but not limited to:

RETAIL SYSTEMS:

Buying Systems:

● Own the product roadmap for buying tools, supporting the Buying team with supplier

management, purchase order creation, and open-to-buy workflows.

Inbound Ordering System:

● Lead product development for inbound ordering capabilities including PO

management, supplier confirmations, and goods-in workflows.

● Partner with Operations and Planning to streamline stock flow from supplier to

warehouse, reducing lead times and improving accuracy.

Catalogue Management:

● Own the product catalogue capability covering product setup, attribute management,

content publishing, and taxonomy.

● Drive improvements that reduce manual effort, improve data quality, and support fast

time-to-site for new ranges.

Stock Management:

● Deliver features that give the business real-time visibility into stock levels, allocation,

and availability across channels.

Pricing Tool:

● Own the pricing capability including dynamic pricing rules, promotional pricing,

markdown management, and competitor monitoring.

● Work with the Offers team to iterate on pricing configurations and run pricing

experiments with measurable outcomes.

PAYMENT INTEGRATIONS:

● Own the end-to-end payment product experience including checkout flows, payment

method integrations (cards, BNPL, EFT, cash), and failure recovery.

● Drive improvements to payment conversion through A/B testing, UX optimisation,

and fraud prevention.

● Manage integration of new payment methods

FULFILMENT:

● Lead product strategy for fulfilment including last-mile delivery, and returns.

● Work with logistics and operations to improve on-time delivery rates, SLA adherence,

and customer communication.

● Define self-service features (order tracking, returns initiation) that reduce contact

centre load.

LEADERSHIP & PRODUCT PRACTICE:

● Lead cross-functional squads through discovery, delivery, and iteration using agile

methodologies.

● Mentor PMs and contribute to product culture and ways of working across the team.

● Communicate roadmap progress, trade-offs, and outcomes to stakeholders from

operations teams to senior leadership.

● Own clear KPIs and measurable outcomes across your product domains; whatever

the team prioritises should move the needle on a defined metric.

● A well-maintained, communicated product roadmap that is aligned to business

priorities and delivered consistently.

● Demonstrable business impact from shipped product work, evidenced through data

and reported regularly to stakeholders.

● A high-functioning, aligned squad that understands what they are building and why.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

● Bachelor's Degree or Advanced Diploma in a related field with at least 7 years of

product

● Proven track record in e-commerce, retail technology, or commerce platform

products.

SKILLS

● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven

decisions.

● Excellent communication skills: able to write clear PRDs, present to leadership, and

facilitate cross-functional workshops.

● Ability to manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders in a fast-paced

environment.

● Collaborative, low-ego approach with strong commercial acumen.

● Retail system knowledge is advantageous

COPYWRITER

Purpose of the role

The copywriter is responsible for writing copy for all Superbalist channels, including onsite, CRM, paid media, SEO, social media, blog, ATL, BTL & other brand-related copy for marketing, partnerships and editorial. This includes and is not limited to conceptualising the copy and execution.

Job description

  • Writing all short and long-form copy.
  • Conceptualising, executing, and implementing CRM copy.
  • Working to tight deadlines with content & production calendars.
  • Have a customer-centric view to copy.
  • Understand their mindset, shopping, and browsing behaviour.
  • Obsess about products and trends to deliver insight-led, service-driven copy to the reader.
  • Creating copy to sell individual products, identifying the unique attractiveness of products to the Superbalist customer, in isolation or a campaign context.
  • Customising consumer communications according to the tone of the departments, campaign objectives, and consumer insights.

Key Requirements

  • A tertiary degree/diploma in Communications, Media Studies, Marketing or any related field.
  • 1-2 years of work experience.
  • An enjoyment of short-form and long-form copy.
  • Marketing experience is a plus.
  • Ability to meet simultaneous deadlines efficiently.
  • Genuine interest in local and international fashion and beauty trends, design, product and innovations.
  • Ability to research and identify trends, conceptualise story angles, source images from photo libraries and package all elements into one complete feature quickly.
