The thought of your little ones being busier than you seems unimaginable, but their extramural activities sure do rack up – and quickly. From daycare and soccer practice after a full day at school to dance or swimming classes in the early evening, there are lots of little outfits that need to be packed and ready to go before you all leave home every morning. To make sure you don’t get swept up in too much extramural admin, we’ve compiled a checklist of what to pack in their after-school bags.

M1

Make sure your kids reach Thulani Hlatshwayo status in style for soccer practice by turning to the brands that do athleisure best: Nike, adidas and Soviet. These high-quality pieces will last them the year and minimise extra money spent replenishing their kit often.

M2

Comfort and versatility are key. Get your little ones ready to bust moves and pirouette about with stretchy leggings, lightweight T-shirts, sturdy sneakers and sweats to keep them warm after class.

M3

Are we talking indoor or outdoor pools? Regardless of the season or the pool facilities, swimwear can be tailored to protect your kids from the cold and the sun. Opt for long-sleeved swimwear if they train outdoors and classic-styled swimwear for an indoor heated pool.

M4

School’s out, but playtime isn’t over. Make sure the kids are ready for daycare with comfortable, fuss-free clothes. Tracksuit tops and bottoms are super easy to pack and require next to zero “what goes with this” outfit planning. The extras? Lightweight shorts and tees for easy play and leggings for slightly nippier days.
