The silly season is finally here and that means we’ll be out and about, doing the absolute most, turning every moment into a celebration and making memories that we’ll be reminiscing about well into the new year. So naturally it’s important that your fashion needs are met to ensure that you’re always prepared for a good time.
Year-end fashion trends often sit on opposite ends of the spectrum, you’re either taking it easy in a cute playsuit and sneakers or going all out in an over-the-top dress, stilettos and a full face beat. If this year’s summer style trends are anything to go by, you should be all decked out in bold, show stopping, glamorous pieces, anything that evokes 80s disco fashion feels. Think polished metallics, dazzling glitter and shimmering gold with all the extra trimmings because if you’re going to go out then you should probably go OUT OUT.
If you’re not quite sure of how to pull off this trend then you might want to take a few notes from some of the local celebs who walked the red carpet at the 22nd anniversary of the South African Style Awards.

Featuring double bow detail and a tasteful slit, Lalla styled her dress with bent metal earrings. The perfect fit for a black-tie event.

The outfit appears to be a modern take on the Tsonga Xibelani which is a major part of Madjozi’s signature look.
