May the 4th Be With You
Star Wars Day is one of the less ridiculous unofficial secular holidays – No Pants Day, anyone? – and celebrates our favourite space epic, Star Wars. What we especially like about Star Wars Day is how it didn’t come from Lucasfilm, and instead it’s all thanks to the power of the Internet and the subculture of Star Wars fanboys. StarWars.com have been clever enough to embrace the day and have a whole wack of content there on how you can celebrate the special day. With the launch of a new trilogy of movies, kicking off with Star Wars: The Force Awakens, perhaps you could spend today rewatching the existing films? Or instead speak like Yoda all day you must... Not a fan of The Force? Then say bah-humbug to Han Solo and celebrate tomorrow. May the 5th, aka Revenge of the Fifth, is when fans celebrate the Sith Lords and other anti-heroes in the series.
