"For nearly two decades, H&M has been democratising high-fashion by offering customers the chance to own special pieces of high-end designers and we are thrilled to partner with Rich Mnisi on the next collection,” says Caroline Nelson, country manager of H&M South Africa.
Mnisi, a prolific voice within South African fashion, expands his repertoire of collaborations with a collection catered to the streetwear consumer. Following successful partnerships with both local and international artists and designers, H&M intends to further maintain its position as a diverse and inclusive global brand.

No stranger to the spotlight, having dressed celebrities such as Ciara, Beyoncé and Naomi Campbell, the African Fashion International Younger Designer alumni extends his craft into commercial retail with an impressive offering of original streetwear designs.
Aimed at making designer clothing accessible to the H&M customer, the collection features comfortable silhouettes emblazoned with signature RICH MNISI illustrations. Brought to life by an autumnal colour palette that ranges from earthy brown to toasty beige, Mnisi employs a deft use of heritage and pop culture on sustainably-sourced materials that are made of 100% in-conversion cotton - fibre grown by farmers converting to organic farming.

“We wanted to extend the accessibility of our designs to more people who have been so vocally supportive of my team and I as well as the work we do with this brand. I am so grateful for everything we have and the people who have helped us make that happen, and this collection with H&M helps us show love to them,” adds the fashion designer.
Contrary to media personality Bonang Matheba’s viral proclamation, it doesn’t have to cost you two million to rock Rich Mnisi designs. Gender-neutral and size-inclusive, the highly-anticipated collection is available to shop at H&M V&A Waterfront, Sandton City, Mall of Africa, Menlyn Park, Gateway Theatre of Shopping, Cavendish Square, Rosebank, Canal Walk and Superbalist.com from 27 July 2023.
