Superfans may remember Carrie Bradshaw’s confession, “I’ve been cheating on fashion with furniture,” said to a store assistant, while shopping for premiere dresses. It’s a mandatory affair for women of fashion: a furniture fling to enrich your living space and complement your taste in clothing. To that end, we’ve selected pieces from our apartment offering for fashion’s three major moods. Find your match and settle in.

Never one to shy away from a bold colour or luscious print, the Gucci and Valentino-loving maximalist is all about lavish living. Optimistic block colours (yes, pastels – yes, yellows) mingle perfectly with tropical prints in a harmonious cacophony that feels idiosyncratic and charmingly eccentric. Nature is the key inspiration, materialising literally and figuratively from the carpet motif to the leopard stationery trinket. A thriving natural selection.

The BV minimalist likes to keep things simple. Her less-is-more approach is governed by a distinct fascination with textures and raw materials. The colour scheme, a spectrum of earthy tones from clay to sand, is punctuated with slashes of metallic. Leather is always involved. Frills are out of the question. If the piece hits that sweet spot between simplicity and opulence, it’s perfect.

She’s a bit of a Virgil Abloh herself: a streetwear enthusiast who stays active and loves all things art and design. At home, everything is curated in a classic black-and-white palette. Occasionally there’ll be a splash of colour when the right work of art comes along, but a graphic text piece gets the job done as well. Music is important and must come from an updated take on a retro speaker. Substance and simplicity are king: they give her the space she needs to create.
