A Night Of Talented Womxn celebrates women in the alternative South African music scene and those people who support them. This lineup comprises diverse, powerful and extremely talented women-fronted musical acts, all of whom you can experience for one night only, and it's for a good cause.

Since their formation, Diamond Thug has continually evolved, always striving to create a unique sound that stays true to their perspective. Their music glides through dream-pop, skittish, off-kilter electronica and psychedelic-rock, creating cosmic-influenced ethereal soundscapes, which swirl below Chantel’s haunting, yet beautiful melodies. The pursuit of an authentic & honest sound has earned the band various honours in international competitions such as Culture Collide’s pick to perform at SXSW
Moonchild Sanelly’s original brand of electro-pop and ghetto-funk has fast gained her a reputation as South Africa’s most unique performer. The eye catching and provocative costumes which she designs for her performances, coupled with her electrifying and sensual energy, make her one of the most sought after acts in South Africa and no doubt destined for a huge international career.
Lucy Kruger is a musician and songwriter who, since the release of her debut album in 2013, has toured extensively both locally and internationally, collaborating with a number of artists on various projects. She is one half of dream-noise duo, Medicine Boy, while her solo project focuses on the bare bones of the songs and draws on her folk roots. Her performance is honest and intimate, revealing a child-like curiosity towards the darker elements of sound and subject matter. The sound drifts between the bareness of the acoustic guitar and the darker, psychedelic approach of the band.
Tzara is a 22-year-old artist working hard to challenge the music production patriarchy with her DIY-attitude and genre-bending songs. Her eclectic electronic output is as varied as her tastes. She has recently been accepted on partial scholarship to further pursue contemporary writing and production at the esteemed Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA.
In 2016 Rose Bonica delved into music and, mentored by her partner Big Space, she set out to become a full-time producer. Within weeks she was producing her first track, ‘Let’s Get Married’ which was featured on Jumping Back Slash’s show on Radar Radio. Her first release on Wet Dreams Recordings' compilation “Work Not Hype” has her amongst heavyweights such as Altered Natives, Jumping Back Slash and Lorenzo BiTW.
K-$ is a DJ and internet sensation hailing from Cape Town's Southern Suburbs. Coming up under a father who was also a DJ, this selector has a deep love for timeless classics and is naturally drawn to the rhythms emerging from RnB, funk, disco and soul's golden years. The soundtrack of yesteryear's playboys, mac daddies and supaluvas has influenced not just his sound, but persona and aesthetic too. Raw talent and a well-trained ear inform a style that seamlessly blends this heritage with more contemporary favourites, a phenomenon he says comes down to the fact that the music he grew up on laid a strong foundation, upon which the present-day sound is built. This is evident in each of his sets across the city at well-established clubs, events, festivals like Cape Town Electronic Music Festival (CTEMF) and MUSE All Weekend Music Festival. One of the youngest members of the LIT squad, he's are an old soul trapped in a young body. Expect nothing but quality hits for true music lovers.
Bold and energetic, JNN KPN’s sound fully embodies the intricacies of South Africa’s electronic music scene. Jeanne's repertoire draws from a diverse selection of 4/4 music genres, effortlessly weaving together house, electro, techno and gqom to create a mesmerizing journey through local and international sounds. Since 2012, JNN KPN’s hypnotic performances have moved crowds at established venues and festivals around South Africa, including The Assembly, Fiction, Era, Mødular, TOY TOY, Cold Turkey, Afrikaburn, Rocking the Daisies and CTEMF –delivering a powerful, kinetic experience through highbrow dance music.
Floors is a Cape Town based duo that plays lush, mood-based electronica. Their music provides a broad pallet of acoustic, experimental and electronic sounds that create an expansive and immersive listening experience. With a versatile, tech-based setup serving as an extension of the strong emotional intention that their music creates, they use vintage synthesizers and guitars, soulful vocals, a detailed production style coupled with highly descriptive lyrics that evoke a myriad of emotional complexities. Mikhaela is an enchanting jazz vocalist who has been a part of the Standard Bank National Youth Band and competed in numerous jazz competitions. A talented pianist and composer, she co-wrote and produced the 2016 national hit single The Whip, with rapper PHfat.
