Reminiscent of the 80s, there is no fashion item quite as nostalgic as dungarees. Classic denim dungarees were a firm-favourite in many childhoods growing up. It seems like no matter where you were in the world, it was incredibly likely that you wore a pair of dungarees at some point in your life. From adorable baby dungarees and kids dungarees to adult-sized jean dungarees, it seems we cannot avoid this style staple that has lived on and strong in every decade, from the 80s to 2021.

Part jeans, part jumpsuit, all-over cool - dungarees are still a major style statement. However, because they can lean to the cheesy side, it's important to put thought into how you style them. Of course, it's easy to just throw on a pair of dungarees for women and call it a day, but why would you do that and run the risk of looking a bit like a painter on break? When wearing ladies dungarees, it's all about proportion. For example, if you've got a pair of super baggy ladies denim dungarees, then it's wise to go with a fitted top on your upper half to balance out your proportions. A crop top is ideal, as it flashes a bit of skin and breaks up the all denim look. Add a stylish handbag and the latest sneakers on the market, and you've got an instantly cool look that will turn heads.

There is nothing more adorable than a kid in a pair of dungarees. Pair the dungarees with a sweet character shirt in a bright colour, and kids shoes from Nike or adidas, and you've got a winning look your little one will love.

Got a pair of short dungarees and no idea how to wear them? Pair with a crop top and flip flops for an easy summer look you can wear to the beach or the park. Don't forget about the accessories! A pair of round sunglasses add instant coolness and edge to any look.

Wondering how to dress your dungarees up for a night on the town? It's pretty simple. Swop your crop top for a sheer shirt, and slip on a pair of sky-high heels that add instant glamour to your look. Add an oversized leather jacket for a touch of edginess. Of course, accessories always make the look so much better. Pile on layers of gold necklaces and a pair of dangly earrings, and don't forget to add a spritz of your favourite perfume. Fragrances from Elizabeth Arden, Clinique, Hugo Boss, and Issey Miyake are always crowd-pleasers.
