Vilakazi Street is probably the most famous street in the huge Soweto township of Johannesburg. Both Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Emeritus Desmond Tutu lived there. Not many places can claim that two Nobel Prize winners lived in the same street!

Tutu, as he is more fondly known, still has a house there with his wife Leah, and when he's in town, he is said to stroll the streets. 

The leather of our Veldskoen Heritage shoes is treated to become hydrophobic. That's a fancy way of saying they are water repellent.
