The aloe

Inspired by the interactions that take place both within and because of community and language, Kate Currie’s illustrations present a documentation of the experiences and raw emotions felt as a result of being ‘born free’ in South Africa. As a student in Visual Communication Design at Stellenbosch, Currie has developed a simple and sensitive style, with her artwork reflecting well-executed line drawings and soft colours.
