Sekonik is the alias of designer Dean Robert Smith, who takes pop culture references we all love and pares them right back, creating wonderfully clean, minimal illustrations. These contemporary designs are represented in an unmistakable style, and make for wonderful additions to one’s bedroom, living area or work space. Inspired by gaming and TV culture as well as urban life around the world, he started creating his fan art as a counterpoint to his day job in advertising, and now, having established his look and a rabid following, creates some of the most popular prints around. Having worked across London, Manchester and Amsterdam, his work has been featured in publications such as Fubiz, Hypebeast and DesignTAXI, to name a few.
