23-year-old graphic designer and art director Amber Rose Pretorius was born and bred in Cape Town, and has barely left the city since. Pasted to the right corner of the iMac from which she works is an Instagram screenshot reading, “Lena Dunham liked your photo 9 hours ago” – that’s hers, not yours. Her artwork reflects a passion for simple, considered design, illustration, pastel colours, the emotions of everyday life, and the fact that she drinks too much gin. She also loves her dog more than most humans.
