Turn Blue

Turn Blue is the Black Keys’ eighth album. The duo have maintained a high-profile status in pop music since the release of 2010’s Brothers owing to their distinctive fusion of bubble-gum pop sensibilities and bluesy garage-rock revival. Disillusioned fans of their earlier work discredit the Ohio two-piece on their undeniable favouring of the former over the latter, but with regular collaborator Danger Mouse (most famously known as one half of Gnarls Barkley) on production duties once again, Turn Blue continues in much the same vein as its two predecessors, with added touches of psych-rock and soul. Fans of Brothers and El Camino will be pleased.
