Rainbow Bridge

Rainbow Bridge is the second posthumous US Hendrix release of 1971, following The Cry of Love. The cover of this LP is famously and curiously misleading: the album does not contain any material recorded during his Maui concert appearance for the film Rainbow Bridge. Instead, the album is made up of recordings that Hendrix had made between 1969 and 1970, following the breakup of the Experience. This LP serves as a noteworthy document of Hendrix’s experiments with the electric guitar.
