Sustainable Textures and Versatile Designs

In 2026, home décor is all about tactile luxury and eco-conscious choices. Our collection features a wide array of materials, from sustainable jute rugs and natural wool to high-performance recycled fibres. Explore textural variety with high-low pile patterns that add depth without visual noise, or opt for a plush shag rug to create a cozy retreat in the bedroom. For high-traffic areas, our durable runners and kitchen mats offer the perfect blend of practicality and panache, ensuring your floors remain protected while looking effortlessly curated.

A Rug for Every Room and Layout

Choosing the right size and shape is key to mastering your room’s layout. Pair a large rectangular rug with your living room furniture to ground the space, ensuring at least the front legs of your sofa rest on the fabric. In open-plan homes, use different textures and shapes, such as circular rugs, to effectively zone dining and lounging areas. Don’t forget your exterior spaces; our outdoor rugs are designed to withstand the elements, allowing you to extend your personal style to the patio or balcony for a seamless indoor-outdoor flow.

FAQs

How do I choose the right rug size for my room?

A common mistake is choosing a rug that is too small. For a living room, aim for a size that allows at least the front legs of all major furniture pieces to sit on the rug. In the bedroom, the rug should ideally extend about 50cm to 60cm beyond the sides and foot of the bed. Generally, you should leave between 15cm and 45cm of exposed floor between the edge of the rug and the walls to maintain a balanced, intentional look.

What rug materials are best for high-traffic areas?

For busy areas like hallways, kitchens, and entryways, synthetic fibres like polypropylene or polyester are excellent choices because they are stain-resistant and easy to clean. Wool is also a fantastic natural option for high-traffic zones because the fibres are naturally resilient and "spring back" after being stepped on. Low-pile rugs are generally preferred in these spaces as they are less likely to trap dirt and are easier to vacuum frequently.

How should I clean and maintain my rug?

Regular vacuuming is essential to prevent dirt from settling deep into the fibres. For high-pile or shag rugs, use a vacuum with a suction-only setting to avoid pulling the threads. Treat spills immediately by blotting (never rubbing) with a clean, dry cloth and a mild detergent. To ensure even wear and prevent fading from sunlight, we recommend rotating your rug 180 degrees every six to twelve months.

Can I layer rugs on top of each other?

Yes, rug layering is a major trend for 2026 that adds immense depth and character to a space. A popular technique is to use a large, neutral natural-fibre rug (like jute or sisal) as a base and place a smaller, more colourful or highly textured rug (like a plush Moroccan Berber or a vintage Persian-style piece) on top. This creates a curated, high-end look while providing extra comfort underfoot.
