One, however, stands out due to its distant origin and universal benefits. Shea butter is a natural active ingredient derived from the shea nut, a wild tree native to West Africa: Butyrospermum Parkii. This exceptionally robust tree can live up to three centuries! A very rich beige paste is extracted from the nut, which is then processed into butter. Shea butter is renowned worldwide for its nourishing and protective properties. Rich in vitamins A, D, E, and F, as well as fatty acids, it nourishes the skin, enabling it to better defend itself against dehydration and external aggressors.
