The end of Eid-al-Fitr is fast approaching and here’s what you can wear for the celebration.

Eid-al-Fitur is celebrated by Muslims across the world and is the end of the devotional month of Ramadan. This is a time when adult Muslims fast and pray as a means of becoming closer to Allah.

The month concludes with a crescent moon, in a feast shared with friends and family, and this is also when fashion and beautiful settings do the talking. Here is your Eid fashion guide for 2024:

Gone are the days of stuffy suits, suspenders and ties; style your suiting set more casually this Eid. For a more laidback and relaxed look, pair a well-fitting suit with a plain white T-shirt and a pair of crisp sneakers.

You could also try a pair of fitted chinos and a knit sweater for an effortlessly put-together yet simple look.

An otherwise plain suit can also be spiced up with look accessories such as rings, necklaces, sunglasses or a bum bag.

Let bold silhouettes and textures do the talking. When modesty needs to be considered, it may feel that access to some cuts are limited, but your ‘fit can flourish despite this.

Get experimental with suiting sets with fun details such as a fringe cape, or spruce up a simple monochrome suit with great accessories. Don’t overlook the power of sparkle - it can quite literally bring any outfit to life.

Details such as pleats can also bring new dimensions to an otherwise plain dress. Pleated skirts lengthen the body, allowing you to look more statuesque with little to no effort. High-necked dresses and turtlenecks layered under suits or dresses can also draw the eye upward, so make sure to keep the attention there with details such as drop earrings or stacked necklaces.

Your little ones may be excited about the Eid festivities but may be fussy about dressing up. Keep their outfits simple yet impactful with bold details such as striped knits, bright colours or cool sneakers.

Functional yet engaging outfits are key. For little girls, why not try a skort with a pair of bright or patterned tights underneath? For little boys, step up their style in a pair of cool kicks and a cute shearling-collar jacket. Let your little one explore their unique style this Eid.

Setting and atmosphere are among the most important parts of having a successful celebration. It's hard to imagine having a good time in a space that does not feel welcoming or jubilant with delight.

Create an inviting atmosphere through beautiful table settings - think deep golds and bronzes, marble coasters, and plates in rich greens and browns. This will ensure everyone in attendance can enjoy the festivities while focusing on beautiful food, friends and family.
