Palesa Desiree Shilabje, simply known as Desiree, is a born and bred Joburger who started listening to house music from just 10 years old. Her love for the genre grew while modelling, walking the likes of SA Fashion Week, and the electronic sounds of Thom Yorke, Bonobo and Gui Boratto often played on runways. Having started DJing earlier this year, her mixes bring together electronic sounds, Afro house and techno by Osunlade, Da Capo, &ME, Guy Mantzur, Jonathan Kaspar and Sobek. Desiree has also become a regular at events such as Deep Town Jozi, The Rhythm and Deep in the City and has played alongside Da Capo, Simmy, Sun-El Musician, Kwesta and Busiswa, among many others.
