Blaqkongo is a DJ and producer from Ghana and Liberia whose interest in music began as a child with 90s deep house, jazz and percussive African music. Having spent his life between Switzerland, South Africa, the UK and DRC, his music is a reflection of the unique chemistry of his multicultural experiences, travels and the many people who inspire him. He’s played in France, the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, South Africa and Switzerland. On the decks, he’s known for his seamless movement from deep, feel-good tunes to party classics and his influences range from jazz and hip-hop to central African and west African music. You might have caught him hosting Casa Kongo at A Touch of Madness or a First Thursday event at Unfiltered in Cape Town with his consulting agency.
