The 90s inspired Yung-96 releases worldwide today
Today adidas Originals steps forward with new iterations of one of its most popular contemporary silhouettes, applying a range of striking colourways to the Yung-96.
Channeling elements of 90s footwear design, the sneakers release places the nostalgic appeal of classic sportswear aesthetics front and centre, boasting a mesh construction with suede and nubuck overlays, placed atop a lightweight EVA midsole with a durable rubber outsole, while a number of accents complete the picture.
On the Yung-96 model, this is drawn out by the shoe's timeless panel design, complete with 3-stripe mark and an aggressive midsole tooling, while the two colourways – contrasting variations of Black/Grey/Acid Green-nod to the dynamic colour palettes of classic 90s models.
Finishing touches include branding details on the tongue and heel, as well as an authentic Torsion bar in the midsole as a tribute to classic 90s adidas footwear design.
Whether you're a fan of the chunky sneaker, or the odd one out who scoffs at the ugly sneaker trend we're seeing everywhere lately, there's no denying how these silhouettes are dominating the sneaker scene and that the Yung-96 will make a welcome addition to any savvy sneakerhead's rotation.
