SOTW: Puma Suede Classic Santa Cruz

The Puma Suede is no doubt a classic sneaker — it’s been around for half a century. To celebrate its birthday, Puma’s teamed up with Californian skate brand Santa Cruz for a shoe that’s as unique and special as each brand’s history.

Founded in the 70s, Santa Cruz has become the go-to brand for many skateboarders. With individual expression at the core of their image, they’re probably best known for their Screaming Hand graphic featured on many of their products, which now includes apparel and an upcoming collaboration with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

The sneaker itself is still easy to spot, with the sleek Suede Classic silhouette and gum sole balancing Santa Cruz’s edgy graphic on the sides. Owner of a skateboard or not, this one-of-a-kind shoe is extremely limited and likely to become a collector’s item.
