In celebration of pride month, Miley joins Converse’s YES TO ALL campaign with a sneaker collab
Converse and Miley Cyrus have teamed up to produce an array of statement-making sneakers that reflect Miley’s personal style and influences. The iconic Converse silhouette has been reworked with paisley trims along the sole on some models and a dazzling glitter finish on others. The range features playful colourways, a mix of platforms and traditional low-tops as well as Miley’s signature smiley-face along the heel.
Forming part of Converse’s YES TO ALL campaign, this collaboration with the bbz FKA Hannah Montana is dropping as part of The Converse Pride Collection – officially launching on 25 May. And in recognition of pride month, 100% of the net proceeds will be going to charities supporting LGBTQIA+ initiatives, including The Happy Hippie Foundation.
“The Happy Hippie Foundation was created to stand up to the injustices LGBTQ youth face on a daily basis in the world today. Working with Converse as an ally in this movement means the world to me,” said Miley Cyrus. “Converse champions youth and how important it is to give every young individual the ability to raise their voice and define their culture. I’m excited to work alongside a brand that shares both my values and style.”
While she may not be the most obvious representative of the LGBTQIA+ community, the good people at Converse reckon that Miley is “an icon in her own right, Miley provides an incredible voice for the youth of today. We are honored to stand with such a strong advocate for the LGBTQ youth communities and together encourage the world to say Yes to All,”. Marking this as just the beginning of what will be an exciting partnership between the brand and the pop star.
So, if you're looking to add a sparkle to step, while contributing to something you believe in, this is just the drop for you.
