Shop Sale and Save

It’s quite something, really: how four little letters, written in uppercase, with a pop of red colouring, can get every person’s animalistic retail reflex in action. Now, here at Superbalist there’s always a Sale going on, but sometimes the discounts kick into overdrive and people fly into a confused rage. Shopping the Sale can be a stressful task, but with some sound advice, and some sneaky strategies, you can ensure that you make the most with very little.

1. Make a wish

Everyone loves the newest drops, and every now and then you’ll take a hit, buy those new Nikes or that limited-stock jacket, and settle for a final two weeks before payday of two-minute noodles for lunch and supper. But so many products don’t get snatched up immediately, and can sit in stock for a while – before going on Sale. So here’s what you do: if you see something you like but you want to wait to see if it goes on Sale, just put it on your Wishlist when you open it on Superbalist. Then, when you see there’s a Sale on, go to your Wishlist and see whether there's a discount to be had.

2. Red alert

Don’t leave it to chance, though, or all the items on your wishlist will pass you by. Look, everyone wants the best items, and everyone’s waiting for them to go on Sale, so it’s a simple matter of first-come-first-purchased. So here’s what you do: go to your settings on the site and make sure your preferences are set to receive our emails. Then download the app and enable push notifications. If you’re serious about Sales, you’re going to want to be the first to know. Simple.

3. Mark it off on your calendar

Like we said before, there’s always a Sale on at Superbalist, and if you want those specific dream pieces, you’re going to have to keep an eye on them at all times. As for what type of product you should get on Sale... now that’s a good question. Buying bulk basics is always a good strategy. Say you’re a guy who generally wears a white crewneck T-shirt, or you know that at work you tend to go with a variety of the same chinos. If you see them on Sale, don’t be shy, rather go with what you know. Go for quantity, get good value, and sort out your wardrobe for a long time to come.

5. Go for premium

Another argument is that rather than shopping for high-quantity basics, you should be looking for high savings on premium products. If you’ve been wanting a leather jacket, a duffel bag, or a pair of show-stopping heels, then go for broke on those limited items while they’ve got discounts attached to them. “This must be a mistake”, you say to yourself checking out the expensive denim jacket for 50% off. Well, maybe it is! But we won't tell if you won't. 

6. Give credit where due

Remember also, especially when making large single payments, that there are always credit payment options available. 7. Filter off-kilter

At the time of publication, there are well over 3000 items available on Sale. Now, I don’t care how much you love a bargain, no-one is manually scrolling through every single one of those products. Whether you use the website or the app, the filter tool is your friend when it comes to finding what works for you. If what you want is a premium brand, find it and isolate those items. If you know you want a particular piece – jeans or boots or sunglasses – filter by those departments. Filter by colour, by shoe size, by price... it’s the best way to tackle this many products.

8. I got this for you

Keep in mind is that Sale is a great opportunity to get your gifts lined up for other people. If you’re only shopping with yourself in mind, you might miss out on great presents for birthdays, housewarmings and more. 9. Know yourself

Just a reminder before you go off on a crazy bender – check before buying if your purchase is non-refundable. If it's the final item in stock, it could be the last we'll be seeing of it, and so will be marked as non-returnable. 10. Act fast

The final tip, and the most important one too – the Sale waits for no one. Act fast to get your product in your cart, and then act fast to make the purchase too. Remember that you can’t hoard items in your cart indefinitely, after about an hour a Sale item will become available to everyone if you haven’t bought it. So get ready, get set, and shop the Sale.
