They say the eyes are thw like the windows to your soul. With that being said, why wouldn't you want to play them up as much as possible? The best way to play them up is with cosmetics. If you weren't blessed with naturally long lashes, why not give false lashes a try?

Eyelashes serve a purpose in that they help keep dust particles out of our eyes. They also help add a flirty shape to the eye area, especially when emphasised with mascara. However, mascara can only do so much - especially for those with naturally short or fine eye lashes to begin with. If you have short eye lashes or just love the look of drama and definition, then fake eyelashes are for you. Fake lashes, also known as artificial eyelashes, are manufactured eyelashes you can glue onto your eye lid to give the illusion of long lashes. Artificial lashes can come as a strip lash or as individual eye lashes that you would glue one by one onto your eye lid. While false eyelashes aren't for everyone, they do an amazing job at adding drama to your face, and they can even change the appearance of your eye entirely, depending on the style of lash you opt for. For example, a wispy lash would provide a much softer, more natural look than a full eyelash shape. This is why it's important to take your time to find the best false lashes for you and your eye shape.

Applying long fake eyelashes can be hard, especially for newbies. The best fake eyelashes for beginners are strip lashes, as they offer more control since it's just one strip, as opposed to individual lashes where there are many that you have to apply correctly. Simply apply a dot of glue to your wrist, then take the fake eyelash and run the strip through the glue, evenly coating it from the one end to the other. Next up, and the most crucial step, you have to give your lash a few seconds to dry as the glue will get tacky, which will help it adhere to your eye much better. If you went in without doing this step, the glue would be too wet and would glide all over your face, risking you messing up your Mac Eyeshadow and Eyeliner. We can't have that! Let your lashes sit for about 15-20 seconds each to be sure. Once the glue is tacky, take a pair of tweezers to hold the lashes steady, and slowly stick it onto your eyelid from the center first before gluing the end down. Follow up with some mascara to blend your natural lashes and the false lashes together. If need be, do some final touch ups to your concealer, add some lip gloss and you are ready for a night out!
