Superbalist Delivery Options: Standard, Premium, and Click + Collect Explained

Superbalist offers three ways to get your order: standard delivery anywhere in South Africa, premium same-day, next-day and weekend delivery in Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria, and Click + Collect from a nationwide network of pickup points. Between courier delivery to your door and convenient in-store collection, there's an option to fit almost any schedule or location.

Delivery options

Standard delivery is available to any address in South Africa. Orders to Cape Town, Johannesburg and Pretoria typically arrive within 2–4 working days, while regional and remote areas can take a little longer. Spend over the qualifying order value and standard delivery is free; smaller orders carry a modest delivery fee, shown at checkout.

Premium delivery speeds things up for shoppers in the three main centres. Options include:

• Same-day delivery — order and pay by the morning cut-off and your parcel arrives before 7pm that day.
• Next-day delivery — order by midnight and it's delivered before 7pm the following business day.
• Weekend delivery — order by the Friday midnight cut-off for delivery between 11am and 7pm on Saturday or Sunday.

Premium delivery isn't shown for every order — it depends on your address, which warehouse your items ship from, and courier capacity at the time — but where it's available, it's a genuinely fast way to get new season pieces before the weekend.

Bulky or heavy items (think furniture or large homeware) are delivered by a two-person team and carry a separate surcharge, reflecting the extra handling involved.

Click + Collect: convenience on your terms

Click + Collect lets you skip waiting at home for a delivery and pick your order up when it suits you. It works in three simple steps:

1. Choose Click + Collect at checkout and select a pickup point near you.
2. Get notified by email and SMS as soon as your order has arrived and is ready.
3. Collect it using the unique QR code or PIN sent to you — or hand that code to someone you've nominated to collect on your behalf.

Superbalist's collection network runs through Takealot Pickup Points, including locations inside Pick n Pay stores around the country — a network that's been growing quickly, with collections at these in-store points doubling between February and May 2025 alone. Because they sit inside stores you already visit, pickup points tend to keep longer, more flexible hours than a typical delivery window — many operate seven days a week.

For Cape Town shoppers, Superbalist also collects through Takealot's dedicated Richmond Park facility in Milnerton, where automated retrieval technology gets orders into customers' hands in as little as three minutes — with standard and next-day collection free of charge there.

Collected orders are held for a set number of days after arrival; if they're not picked up in time, they're returned and refunded automatically, so there's no risk of an order going missing at a pickup point.

Why Click + Collect works well alongside delivery

Home delivery is ideal when you want an order to simply arrive. Click + Collect is ideal when you're not going to be home, want to avoid a delivery fee on smaller orders, or would rather fit collection around an errand you're already running — a quick stop at Pick n Pay, for example, rather than a special trip.
