The Mixtape Vol. 186

Relive Pantone Sundays with House of Rhythm SA's set and a gallery of beautiful people

pantone sundays

Pantone Sundays is a colour themed party, with the dress code of each edition sourcing inspiration from summer's fashion and colour trends. The debut event at Razor Charlie, a Latin eatery just below Katy's Palace Bar, was the perfect venue with its lush greenery and vibrant pops of colour. Launching with YELLOW – a colour that represents joy, clarity, energy, cheerfulness and fun – the event had Superbalist magazine cover stars Trevor Stuurman and Rich Mnisi, long-time Superbalist collaborators Shelly and Keneilwe of Prime Obsession, as well as Cherne Africa, Khomotso Moloto, Gamaen Taylor, Themba Mbuyisa and more in attendance.

Dressed in a David Tlale two-piece and Superbalist shoes, Danielle Bowler says, "Nandi Dlepu knows how to throw a considered party. With everyone dressed in shades of yellow, from head-to-toe looks to accents, the event emanated a curated, yet seemingly effortless cool. The vibe was super chilled, with the perfect blend of food, drinks and laidback music to ease us into the beginning of a new week."

With Just Themba, Maria McCloy, Micheal Lesar and House of Rhythm SA on the decks, yesterday's party people are sure to be feeling the Monday Blues. If that's the case, or you're green with envy at having missed out, don't despair, you can listen to a recording of House of Rhythm SA's set and check out the people of the sun below.
