Want to dunk like Steph Curry? Under Armour is here to help
Sneaker brands collaborating with athletes, NBA players especially, is nothing new: LeBron James, Kevin Durant, James Harden, Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade each have a signature shoe. Some of us probably own a pair or two of Jordans. Our newest drop is quite a surprise though. Steph Curry, who currently plays for the Golden State Warriors, teamed up with Under Armour for a set of kicks no one saw coming.
It’s a first for the brand, which most of us know for its apparel. The basketball shoe features some branding: Steph Curry’s initials on one side and the Under Armour logo on the other, plus a high-top silhouette made from a super flexible and breathable maxpreme upper complete with a webbed lacing system that offers a snug and comfortable fit. The shoe’s features are finished off with a combination of Under Armour’s sole cushioning tech: Micro G foam, that’s lightweight and thinner than normal soles, and Charged Cushioning, that absorbs impact and turns into power, giving you (and Curry) added boost for those slam dunks.
