When a 14-year-old photographer from Port Elizabeth, Athenkosi Ndzombane, mailed us saying that he needed to shoot our next campaign, we liked his hustle so much that we asked him to identify the most stylish people he knows and then introduce them to The Way of Us. Meet four of The Friendly City's best dressed.

Describe your style.

I take risks by pairing interesting things together, and am inspired by the past where I take statement pieces from each decade and combine them to make something futuristic.

What's the best part of living in PE?

It's not too big and not too small, because it's still developing it allows one to be innovative in helping it improve.

Where do you want to be in five years time?

I want to be an investigative journalist, author, magazine editor and freelance writer living in Cape Town, or a comparable culturally rich environment.

Who are the style icons you look up to?

Vanessa Hudgens and other celebrity festival goers.

Which items are you currently coveting?

I am looking for more items with gingham print, particularly a skirt in black and white, a leather red statement over the shoulder bag and I always look for knits with unique vintage prints in different colours. Items with interesting materials and textures, such a suede and leather, particularly in pants and skirts.

Describe your style.

I’m kind of into 80's fashion now, like jeans and short sleeve tees brought together with either a leather or denim jacket and some sneakers. I also like dressing up a bit, in skinny jeans with a nice shirt and some ankle boots with a bit of a heel. Overall I’m a smart casual dresser.

What's the best part of living in PE?

PE is quite small and doesn’t host a large number of events, but I still love living here. I enjoy the laid back vibe and how chilled it is here.

Where do you want to be in five years time?

I'd like to be on my way to UCT to start studying psychiatry.

Who are the style icons you look up to?

Which items are you currently coveting?

I would really like some more shoes and jeans.
