My Want List

Ryan Wuest is a senior menswear buyer at Superbalist and has been around for almost a year now – enough time to cement a reputation for having an exemplary grasp of modern casual with careful attention to detail in his own dressing. Think print tees, bombers, Stan Smiths and tailored joggers, topped off with his trademark Oliver Peoples spectacles.

He’s also one of our go-to fashion guys: dude can spit bars when it comes to what’s a la mode. As a buyer, he’s on the apex of trends and has a formidable knowledge and understanding of both popular menswear brands and up-and-comers, too.

Ryan spent time in the retail world as the former owner of Prime and the cult-favourite Mooks’ store in Rosebank, Joburg before that. For Northern Suburbs youths-in-the-know that made him pretty popular because, for a few years, Mooks was grailed in those parts.

Tee

Superdry is one of our strongest international brands. British based with vintage Japanese design influence. Superdry offers casual menswear styles in great fabrics. Sports casual for the modern guy. This is such a killer tee, the white/red and blue combo is a winner for all dudes!

Hat

This great fitting snapback comes from an awesome accessories pack from legendary sportswear brand adidas. The navy and maroon colour mix really works and is finished off to perfection with the white adi originals trefoil stamp on the centre panel.

Backpack

I love HSC and wear my black Little America every day! Awesome for travel as well as every day. Outdoors inspiration with streetwear aesthetic. The now-icon styles from this Canadian brand have been copied by many but the quality of the original product sets it apart from all comers.

Shorts

Denim shorts are wardrobe essentials for summer and this black pair from Selected Homme is a really authentic wash that will suit all gents.

Tee

Stripey tees are perfect for summer! The fabric and wash of this ADPT tee are really great and give it a substantial and luxurious feel.

Jeans

Nobody on the planet does denim like the Japanese and Edwin offers you the best quality denim and washes in modern fits. The ED-80 is a slim fit with a slightly lower rise and has enough stretch to make them super comfy.

Sneakers

Stan Smith is footwear institution. Everyone knows the OG low top but these vulcanised mids in a luxe grey suede are incredible! Mad comfortable and look great with ething especially in this neutral colourway.
