Established in 1969, New Look has become one of the UKs leading fashion brands with over 1000 stores worldwide. If you’re the type of person who likes to support local then you’ll be glad to know that South African investment company Brait SA recently bought the former British owned company for a cool billion dollars.
And while we’re throwing big figures around, the brand’s significant social media presence boasts over 3 million Facebook fans, 200k followers on Twitter and just under half a mili on Insta.
Smart celebrity collaborations with the likes of Kelly Brook have pushed the brand to the masses, however, when the likes of Princess Beatrice and Zara Phillips gave it their royal seal of approval, people really started to notice, something that resulted in the brand knocking Zara from top spot, and pushing H&M and Topshop even further down on the Fashion Brands Index.
New Look’s trend translation is spot-on without being obvious, the pieces working with a number of outfits and wardrobes.
