To “cotton on” is to catch onto or understand the potential of an idea. When the founder began to sell denim jackets out the trunk of his car in 1991, that’s exactly what happened. Since then Cotton On has become one of the largest fashion labels in the world, expanding its considered casual offering to include numerous fashion ranges, kids’ clothing, and even stationery. From humble beginnings, this brand was a good idea that turned into a great one.
